Learn to navigate your ship in the 7 "C's" if you want to be a total success.
1. Caring--I believe that to be a true success in this world we must have a bigger vision than simply accomplishing a goal for ourselves or simply lining our own pockets. I believe that successful people have a deep care for others. Yes, they are aggressive, but they are not aggressive to the point that they run roughshod over others. Question: What is your care factor? Have you placed people in their proper place, as people worthy of dignity, respect, and proper treatment? Or have you begun to treat others as a means to an end for yourself? Time is perishable
The first is that time is perishable. This means that it cannot be saved. In fact, time can only be spent. Because time is perishable, the only thing you can do with it is to spend it differently, to reallocate your time away from activities of low value and toward activities of higher value. But once it is gone, it is gone forever. If you have the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed." --David Viscott
" Life is about the moments when it's all gone wrong. That's when we define ourselves." -- Bear Grylls "To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed." -- Bernard Edmonds "Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear -- not absence of fear." --Mark Twain Feeling Angry, Resentful, or Self-Critical? Make a Positive Argument
I've discovered an almost uncannily effective strategy to keep myself from going into downward spirals of resentment, blame, and self-accusation — when, for instance, I find myself brooding over thoughts like, “I'm not getting enough work done” or “So-and-so isn't doing a good job with that task.” |
